Your Cyber Essentials certification will reassure customers that your company’s cyber security controls will protect against the vast majority of common online attacks. This is coupled with monthly external vulnerability scanning to detect vulnerabilities on websites, firewalls and other services exposed to the internet.
Taking Cyber Essentials to the next level – What’s included?
Our expert team will guide you through your Cyber Essentials Basic assessment. Our elevated service provides you with:
- 24-hour assessment turnaround once your answers are ready to review
- up to one-hour support call with an assessor to guide you through your submission
- unlimited resubmission attempts.
For twelve months, you will receive a monthly external vulnerability scan on a day of your choice, which will detect vulnerabilities on services exposed to the internet. Commonly found issues include:
- Open ports left unsecured, often from firewall misconfigurations or services that have been forgotten and not closed.
- Services no longer supported by vendors. These do not receive security updates, and hence can have vulnerabilities that will not be patched.
- Login forms with weak or default credentials, risking external access to sensitive services.
- Misconfigured web-servers: expired SSL certificates, weak ciphers, or incorrectly configured TLS.
You will gain access to a password protected shared file where your reports will be uploaded each month. You’ll receive an email notification each time a new report is available for you to view. The report will detail any findings and recommended solutions to fix issues promptly to ensure ongoing protection.
