It’s a new cyber frontier for Tyson

IT’S like a new frontier with a million opportunities says Indelible Data’s newest cyber recruit on joining the business.

The expanding company interviewed hopefuls from across the UK to find its latest cyber security candidate but found Tyson McGuirk just a few miles away from its Maryport headquarters.

The 23-year-old from Harrington, Cumbria moved from TSP Engineering where he had completed an IT apprenticeship.

He is being trained by managing director Tony Wilson as well as being supported by the rest of team as he works towards becoming a fully qualified Cyber Essentials Assessor.

“There are so many tools out there that I didn’t know existed and I’ve now been introduced to, such as Metasploit, Burp Suite and SQL Map,” said Tyson.

“I’m finally on the career path I wanted but I wouldn’t have been able to do this without my IT background.

“Everyone has given me so much support since I joined the company and there is such a family feel here. Tony has a lot of experience and knowledge but he breaks it down to make it manageable.”

Tyson is hoping to soon become a fully qualified Cyber Essentials Assessor and will continue his training to eventually support the company’s Penetration Testing service.
